Sr. Doris Mary DW.

My vocation journey goes back to my childhood days where I used to admire the sisters who taught me in the school. The sisters were always available for the people. I wanted to be like them. I cherished this desire with daily mass and rosary. Then slowly this desire died in me and I was deviated from my desire of becoming a nun.
One day I had a dream, where I saw two paths in front of me. At the end of one road, I saw Mother Mary’s Statue then on the other path, was a common road. She was holding Baby Jesus in her hand and was calling me to carry him in my arms. Then I suddenly woke up from the dream. It was a time when I was making an important decision in my life. At once I realized of my childhood longing and I promised the Lord to follow him.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart ’’ (Jer-1:5).

PThen the Lord showed me the ways and the means to go after Him. I joined the congregation of the Daughters of Wisdom. Though, the path was deep, narrow and sometimes unsure, however, the Spirit of the Lord was with me and blessed me with the precious gift of vocation. I am happy all the more to belong to Christ Wisdom who is my friend, brother and Savoir. When I look back, I could recall many wonderful and miraculous experiences in my life. I am happy to be a religious sister, where I am able to bring forth life to all those who come in my life. I am deeply convinced of the presence of Christ Wisdom in my life.
Presently, I am working with street children, a place called Asha Deep. We have 56 girl children, aging from 6 years to 18 years. These children are in need of care, love and protection. I am happy to be with these children who are rejected from the society. Christ Wisdom is holding me through all challenges and Joys of Life.

My past I place in your mercy,
My present I place within your love,
My future lies in your Providence,
I am all yours, and all that I have is yours,
O Christ Wisdom, through Mary, your Mother.
